I wanted to get rid of one of those pop-eating Ba'al's and some rephaite warriors. I used the gate stone to take them into a water province--I gave him a barrel of air to survive the jump. Next turn I took away the stone and the barrel--and he didn't die.

They aren't marked as amphibious, why is he still alive and eating my people? (The gate stone is currently on another commander who doesn't have a lab.)

I can also confirm the previously reported bug of Alt-B allowing blood hunting underwater. He just found 11 girls.

They won't drown before you generate a new turn. It sounds as if they have stayed under there for several turns, though, if you've been hunting in there.

Exactly. They did stay down there after turn generation. I've suicided troops this way before, I don't know why this group didn't die.

What map are you on? I know in Cradle there is at least one province that appears to be a water one but is not. Could that be what is happening here? See if an ordinary land unit can just move on to it?

Glory of the Gods. I had originally gated the army to #322 where I had a lab.

After this I moved it to #312 just to see if it was something to do with the province or the Naiads there. Nope, it still lived.

I gated it back to the dead zone it came from and things got even stranger--I got a starvation message. Oh--I had forgotten that I added a stray militia to the group. The militia didn't drown, either.
