Unit upkeep is gold cost / 15 , and half for sacred of course,
If someone costs 15 gold his upkeep is 1 gold but what about troops that cost 25 is it 1 or 2, with 2 being closer to 30 and then rounded up and is it yet 1,66 and rounded up in total income, I'm not sure how that works?

It is just a float value as well as the siege power.

I'm not sure if it would be an easy, but it would be nice if there was some way you could see the upkeep cost on the unit information screen somewhere.

Most of the time it's easy to figure out, but there are some summoned units that cost gold (trolls for example). I don't think there's any way to find out which ones do outside of looking at the unit database.

Is this something that could be added with a mod? Or is that outside what mods are currently capable of changing?

Typically you either check Edi's unit database (look at Edi's signature) or you mod the unit as a recruitable commander in a test game and look at how much it costs to buy.

One game I had some fun mass summoning Sea Trolls. I can't give you the breakdown, but I can tell you one casting of the spell costs around 100g/turn in upkeep. They add up fast. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/redface.gif
