This has probably come up before, however searching for the Error brings up just about every post in the forum, so I apologise for wasting everyone's time.

I think the following is the cause of the error.

We're trying to play a PBEM game. I'm trying to play on two different machines. One is the work PC, the other is my home PC.

I started the game on my work PC, now at home I wish to have my turn. However all that happens is an Error message "Player 2-Path to game has changed" comes up.

Would this be because the File path of the game is different? and if so, how do I get around this issue? (short of going back to work, which is not an option as I'm on holiday for a week).

Edit: Oh yeah I'm back, and hello again!

Fully secure PBEM games must be played in the exact same slot on the computer and folder you started the game in. This has always been the case, nothing new here.

If you want to be able to play PBEM games on different computers then that is what Basic security is provided for. It is fine for non-competition games where you trust your opponent not to reload cheat (which is most of the time). It will happily let you play the turn on any PC.

Cheers
Andy
