Don and Andy this question is for you guys as you two do all the heavy lifting regarding this game.

First I want to say I'll probably play WinSPMBT until the day I die. You two and anyone that helped/is helping you with this deserves alot of respect and credit for your seemingly tireless efforts in the two Win SP games presented here.

I realize that you two are doing something else with most of your time, but I have to ask. Is there even the slightest chance that you two would do a Steel Panthers clone game someday?

Multiple answers possible. Just curious what you'd pick here.

1) We'd love to but there just isn't the time, nor will there ever be.

2) Why don't you learn Visual C++ and make one yourself.

3) We have no interest in creating new software.

In any event Rock on !:beer::beer:

Well the developers are always saying how old the code is,and theres only so much they can do with that old code. If a new game was made from the ground up, it wouldn't suffer from ten year old code limitations. It would in the end be a much better game.

Hm... Yeah, you won this one, i'll be back...[/spam]
Yeah, the code is old, BUT Coding a game like like SP from scratch may take some time don't you think?

Most definetely it would take alot of time. But if they began development on a new game covering 1930-2030 they would I imagine stop working on these two games.
A new game could have TCP-IP play. That type of gameplay blows PBEM away badly. Most people here probably never experienced it though.
Every aspect of the game could be made better by design.

Don and Andy are doing things with this old code that the original programmers never even imagined. Imagine what they could do with a completely clean slate and NO ten year old code restrictions.
