I am playing SP MA Ulm with a rainbow pretender when DOH!!! I move to Inkpot End w/out looking and he gets diseased. I don't have any nature magic on him, and bootstraping to a high enough nature level for GOH or the Chalice is probably not an option since I just started basically. What would be really nice is if there was some convenient command line or something I could type in that would remove the disease, I just don't want to repeat the last 15 or so turns.

No luck I'm afraid.

There are some scripts somewhere you can use to basically make Dom3 back up your turn every turn. However, if you haven't been using them, there's nothing you can do now.

If you equip him with regen, he will not die and it will perhaps give you time to figure something out. You will still collect afflictions thou.

If you can cast Ritual of Rebirth, the pretender will transform into an undead mage instead of dying. He won't lose 1 pick from all of his magic, but healing his afflictions will be much harder (you'd need The Chalice artifact, I think). If he gets something like Mute or Feeble-minded, that's it, but if he only gets stuff that doesn't affect his magic, he might get away.

Would the ritual of rejuvenation work maybe?

EDIT: No, that's a stupid idea ^_^

I had a crone in this game that had that problem. I was VERY concerned.

I gave her a "Ring of Regeneration" and an "Elixir of Life" which seemed to stop the losing of hit points. Then I put two Enoptes units (Healer 20) there and set them to Heal Troops. Im not sure what worked but eventually when I looked the Crone was no longer diseased.

Only a few nations have access to healer recruits. Ulm is not among them. There are of course the other options listed above:

Ring of regeneration/hydra skin armor
Gift of Health (the lowest level magic you can getting healing)
Fairey Queen
Chalice
Wish for a healer

Some nations do have access to healer heroes. But I believe most of them also get healer recruits.

Does a ring of regen work on the strat map? I thought only the Shroud would keep guys from dying from disease.

The ring stops the hit point loss each turn.
