We updated the EED page (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Digital_Eel/EED/EED_page.html) this morning:
Production Timeline is being established. Still waiting on a few contractor timelines.
The manual is in editing and will be finished early next week.
Projections should come next week if suppliers get back with us as anticipated.
Best to all.

This game“s a joke...
How long have we been waiting for it? Years....?

That's nothing. Their flagship game, the one the company was founded for, has been on hold for coming up on ten years now. I wish I'd known that before I gave them and interest-free loan (now repaid) for the cost of Eat Electric Death!
Shrapnel Games: Proudly selling vaporware since 1999.

I should only have to mention one thing here:
Duke Nukem Forever
See, a year or two ain't all that bad. ;) We've got a ways to go yet before we declare EED! to be vaporwa-- vapor paper.
Apologies to all who are waiting. Just know that we want EED! to be as nifty looking and feeling (and even smelling!) as possible, and sometimes getting all of the different components right and together takes time (and, you know, "life" stuff can intervene too). Hang in there please. We'll be there with you on the release date.
Okay, so, mark it down. Scratch 'n' sniff card in every box. ;)

Looks like I can't get my money back from Gamers Front.
You guys are crooks. Gamers Front are crooks for dealing with ya, and Shrapnel Games too.
DON'T BUY ELECTRIC EELS GAMES. THEY ARE PROBABLY NOT FINISHED YET, AND WON'T BE ... EVER!

What are you talking about? Of course your pre-order will be refunded if you ask. All you need to do is go to our online customer support center and request a refund:

Is there a chance that this product will be available at some point or was it eventually cancelled?

I'd be interested whether this one is still intended to be released some day. If you ask me, it does not look like it...

Can we consider this product to be officially dead?

Well, Duke Nukem IS coming out. So much for that comparison. Is this game dead? Will they just call it and send our money back? Will I get interest on my 3+ year loan I made to Shrapnel Games?
I don't want to be down on Shrapnel, but they could treat the pre-paying customers with a little respect. A update now and again would be a good start.

I can't believe the game is still available on the online shop. Shrapnel still takes payment for this product which is nearly 4 years over due and on which they haven't provided any update for what? 3 years now?
