I have CD versions of both MBT and WW2 with latest patches. I suddenly cannot save a game either scen or campaign.
I used the default locations for install.
Looking in the main folders I do not have Save folders. MBT does not have a PBEM folder even though I played PBEM a month or so ago. Both of us have 4.0
Any ideas?

I created the folder Saved Games and now it is working. Wonder what and when this happened?
I would have deleted the PBEM files but not the folder. Maybe deleted some old save game files, but again, I would not delete the folder itself.

What operating system are you using and did you change anything related to it just before all this happened. Did you run anything that is designed to flush out un-used or un-wanted files ?
It's obviously not the game that did this.

I don't play WW2 much but first noticed a problem in Aug 08 when testing a camp for DD. I assumed it was something with his camp.
After that I played a couple of MBT scens PBEM and had no problems.
Last weekend I uninstalled some games, CC5, CM3.
That may have done it to MBT but I don't know what would have caused the problem back in Aug with WW2.
I do not have any registry cleaners or other cleaning programs.

If I'm the only one to have this happen so be it. One of those things.
What bugs me is why wouldn't the game engine create the missing folders?
Maybe these games don't do that. I have seen other games that don't install save or pbem folders and create them the first time you need them.

The game installer creates all needed folders in the first place.
The only thing I can think of that would do this is that you manually deleted the entire folder somehow e.g. trying to delete old saves you nuked the folder as well as the old files?

Been there done that, it is possible! Another reason I keep two of each game loaded in separate locations, A "Clean" version and a "MOD" version.
