I want to know that if given the same stats, is FO unit as good in hiding as sniper & scout?

The sniper and scout classes don't have any "magic" hiding bonuses over any other size 0 infantry unit in the first place.

Thanks Andy!
In the manual it said the sniper had special ability to hide & difficult to hit. I thought it is something beyond being of size 0.
And thanks again for the great game. I only found it (and the forum) recently and enjoyed it a lot.

No - that is part of the sniper class abilities (A chance to convert a kill result into more suppression instead) as well as being size 0. One could, if weird, make a size 1+ sniper..
Sniper classes (And to a lesser extent the H/MMG classes) are better than regular grunts at engaging dug-in troops too. They take less of an accuracy hit for target inside trenches/foxholes.
And the sniper protection does not apply to other snipers fire, H/MMG section fire, arty, or in hand to hand or at range 1 or less. So counter snipers with H/MMG sections, counter-sniper fire, shelling, or first suppress them and then close and engage with the bayonet.
Cheers
Andy
