Hi all, just thought I'd let you know about a new multiplayer network I've created for playing Dominions II: The Ascension Wars online called GameRanger.

Basically, GameRanger makes it quick and easy to play your friends online.

It has full lobby support for over 500 different games and demos (including Dominions II, of course), without the hassles and headaches that usually happen with network connections (eg. routers & firewalls).

I'm really excited to be releasing it, and hope it helps boost the Dominions II community by allowing people to play that were unable to until now due to problems with opening ports, etc. The more barriers that can be removed, the more likely the community will stay strong, as new users won't be put off.

You can download it at www.GameRanger.com

I read the rules, and this should qualify as a relevant link that will be beneficial to members, especially to this sub-forum. If that's a problem, please let me know.

You're too late, the Dom2 community is already dead. :p
Try Dominions III. Also, notice that this game is not only for Windows, but for Mac and Linux, too.

Yeah, I'm hoping do add Dom III later as well. :)

Shouldn't be too hard, because Dom2 and Dom3 are mostly exactly the same regarding network gaming and command line parameters. You can probably just reuse the Dom2 solution.

Hmm, I don't recall being able to use command-line options for Dom II.
