Can I teleport into a castle that is under seige (or will I face the seigers before I enter the castle)? If I am R'lyeh and am summoning from the void, and get attacked, will returning work, or will it fail because I am already in my home province?

Thanks!

If you teleport onto a friendly castle that is under siege, you wind up in the castle. You have to walk/fly onto it in order to start a fight on the same turn.

I think Returning works fine in that situation but I've never tried it firsthand.

Never tried it either but I believe (based on stuff I "think" I recall reading) it doesn't work.

At least your possible answer base is now covered!

Scripting Returning works fine when you are summoning void creatures from the gate.

In fact, I think you want to give your guy 4 pearls. I seem to remember once my guy both got attacked in the void, and then became lost in time and space on the same turn.

If you've got 4 pearls on him, he'll survive getting attacked in the first battle by casting returning, and then when he arrives 10 (or however many) turns later from being lost in time and space, he can cast returning if he lands in an unfriendly province containing a dangerous enemy army.

Best to use a summoner with only astral 2 for that purpose. They will likely use more gems if they have astral 3 or 4.

A nice way to save gems and keep your commanders ( astral or blood at least, or if you have slave matrix ) is to use a communion and cast returning with the master.
