Handy in large games if you know your units cant touch his stuff till range is below XX

By platoon works OK.

Select the company commander, and set the desired scheme. Hit Apply to this Platoon button or hot-key.
Now hit N to advance to next platoon, (current scheme remains active) and hit apply to platoon button.
Repeat for all 3 or so platoons.
Job done.

(Remember that you can save 3 schemes to overwrite the stock ones)

Cheers it certainly makes combat more intresting as can stop fire being bled off. Its very nice for ambushes to & stops tanks shooting at low threat targets while there are big boys out there.
Normaly just use as required & does require a bit of thought. Its no good setting everyone to let the APCs pass somebody has to engage them etc.
