I have checked all the info and I cannot find anything to explain to me why turret armor for light vehicles with pintle mounted weapons have a turret armor rating.

I would think that just a weapon mounted would be 0.
If there was a front shield then a 1 in the front.
Something like the M-113 ACAV = 1 all the way around.
with no top armor.

some of the new armor (clear) and Isreali enclosed coupulas i think can match some light armor ratings, I am just lookking for some clarification on this. HMMWV's get a 0 rating with a pintle mount so I wonder why APC's an armored car get extra.

Thanks,

I am not at home to get specific info for a proper issue report.

Could be because a 0 armor rating on a pintle mounted weapon would allow an otherwise armored vehicle to be destroyed by, say, assault rifle fire. The HMMWVs with a pintle mounted weapon that have 0 rating on their turret also have 0 all around armor. There are many HMMWVs in the US OB that have 1 all around hull rating, and these vehicles also have 1 as their turret all around rating.

Turret armor in such cases means hull armor as the game doesn't recognise whether the turret is large as on real tank or just a HMG and nothing else (ie extremely small).

Both answers #2 and #3 are correct. There was some inconsistency in this regard in the OOB's that has been corrected in the OOB's we are working on now
