Short question, are there any plans to produce a new version of this game? Its great that the old versions are moddable, but they have some serious limitations that many peoples imaginations would like to see removed. So, are we waiting in vien? :re:

Last I knew the developer was working on a fantasy game, so while he may one day return to Space Empires it's probably not going to be anytime soon.

Fantasy game? Interesting, I heard he was working on a "turn based conquer the world strategy game" (see www.malfador.com (http://www.malfador.com)) - perhaps it has a fantasy theme? That would certainly be interesting... and competition for Dom3 :P

Given the way Malfador seems to work, though, I'd suspect it would be more of a more "lighthearted" and perhaps more simplistic type of game than Dom3 (e.g. if Dom3 is Battle for Wesnoth then Malfador's game is Land of Legends; if Dom3 is winSPMBT then Malfador's game is Advance Wars) - but you never know!

Yeah, I guess I should add that the fantasy label I saw on some forum (maybe even someplace on this one...), so I just assumed that the conquer the world game was a fantasy conquer the world game. It may not be, but it would be cool if it was.
