Title Box

Have you changed the size of the title box? Top left corner above text entry.
It might not be you as I have just installed IE8 (intrernet explorer8) but it appears very small in this & other people will have the same problem when they upgrade.

Ta thats what I thought wanted to know before I checked browser settings

In case anybody else has the same problem unchecking use visual styles in options advanced tab solves the problem
