I know this has probably been talked about before, so maybe someone just needs to point me to the right thread.

anyways, I know how hostile dominion's Luck/Misfortune works, but does the same apply to order/turmoil, prod/sloth, and most especialy magic/drain as in order-3 equaling turmoil-3? I know magic/drain applies normally in regards to MR, but if a hostile dominion has Magic-3 and i put a bunch of researchers in his dominion, do they still recieve +2 research points?

thanks!

Nope. In a hostile dominion, only negative scales apply. Positive ones are ignored, except in the case of Luck.

Luck becomes misfortune, which is even worse.

edit: but I guess it stays luck when your dominion catches up with it, so that is good.

Sort of... It adds to the chance of bad events instead of good ones, and increases the chance of events occurring, but (AFAIK) when the events are being chosen they have to be ones that can occur in a Luck-3 dominion. So the really nasty events won't occur.

Also, population will grow under a hostile Growth dominion.
