While trolling around the ruins of Yahoo Group SPMBT I see:
maped.zip
Fred Chlanda's ww2map - allows conversion of SP2 maps to SPMBT/SPWW2 format

Is this really possible?

There are some ancient SPII Team Yankee scenarios I'd love to be able to covert to SPMBT and if the maps can be salvaged that would be great, :)

That may be with the old DOS version of the game. Not sure it still works with the newest Windows compatible version. I would say download the latest Fred Chlanda program and give it a try.

Thanks, the Win version has been out long enough that the DOS version had faded from my memory. And, of course, the utility would have been for DOS to DOS. So I guess what I'm no curious about is if DOS to Win maps is possible? Something to check out.

Scenarios, maps, campaigns - if properly designed.

A response from Andy regarding computability between SPMBT and WinSPMBT, so the answer appears to be a definite maybe.

Doesn't the ScenHack or CampaignHack have an 'Import DOS format' button? I vaguely remember seeing something like that.

That's CampaignHack and it was used to change over the DOS campaigns and was included for anyone who may have made their own campaign. It's really not something anyone would have any use for now and it has nothing whatsoever to do with maps
