Archaeologists excavating a site in northern Peru have found the remains of nearly three dozen people ritually sacrificed 600 years ago.

Experts say the bodies were well preserved with skin tissue and hair remaining.

The bodies showed signs of being cut across the neck and collarbones, but otherwise were well preserved.

Most of the remains were of teenage girls of around 15-years-old.

The burial chamber was found in an enormous archaeological site called Chotuna-Chornancap, near the coastal city of Chiclayo.

Ancient Peruvian culture is best known for the mountain citadel of Machu Picchu, the ruins of which are Peru's top tourist destination.

Obviously what we've got here is a case of time travelers from ancient Peru traveling to modern times, playing Dominions 3, and then basing their culture on their favorite nation.

i think this morning i'm a little paranoic, but this is inquietant!
what if all the history was made by someone who played dom3, made a time-machine and played his nation in real life?

No, they were sending a bunch of Disease Demons to haunt the Spanish invaders. Unfortunately it didn't seem to help much.

I don't understand the joke. What does ritual sacrifice in ancient Peru have to do with the Spanish? This is a century before Christopher Columbus showed up.

I think we should make further investigations, there could exist a blood bonus site near the chamber.

Surely for Mictlan you'd be looking at Mexico, Quetzlcoatl and all that.

I think what might have happened is that Marignon killed the Mictlan priests in a sneak attack, leaving Mictlan unable to bless their troops and then without blood sacrifices they fell to a quick domkill.
