Suddenly, actually on Monday, the history on my Internet explorer stopped displaying. It's IE7 on Windows XP Professional. What do I do?

Good question never heard of that, might be a sensible time to upgrade to IE8 rather than try & fix it.

If you hit Control+Shift+H does the history display? If not, you might consider upgrading (as Imp suggested) to IE8 or uninstall & reinstall IE7.
To reinstall IE7:
Make sure you have the install for IE7 (which can be downloaded here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9AE91EBE-3385-447C-8A30-081805B2F90B&displaylang=en)) and then uninstall IE7 from the Add/Remove Software menu in control panel and then reinstall.

Could someone have merely cleared the history, leaving nothing to be displayed?
If that was it, you should have some new history by the time you read this.

No the new history does not display. I do not delete the history for that day. History for before Monday last displays, since then not.

IE8 caused more problems, and still would not display recent history. So except for one website, which will not display on anything else, I have dropped IE and gone to Firefox. Problem is solved.
Thanks to all who made suggestions.
