I'm very new, and havent even played half of the races yet, but I find I really enjoy the Middle Era, since there seems to be a nice blend of magic and troops, and some races seem even "familiar" from other contexts. Which do you prefer? Which races get the most traffic in the D3 community?

Actually each era has its flavour.
In Early age most of the nations have very tough commanders that can fight alone and powerful magics.
Middle age is the most balanced.
In Late age most of the nations are very specific and have their own features that require different playing style. And that's really nice.

I've thought about this a few times when preparing to host a game, but I haven't been able to make up my mind decisively any of the times. Therefore, I guess I enjoy all ages equally.

I voted MA, but nearly voted EA. I quite like LA too. :)

I like EA most because of the magic diversity.

Middle Era, due to the thematics, as well as some parts of the Late Era.

Though when it comes to gameplay, Early Era due to the magic diversity.

MA or LA. Not a big fan of the whole supermonsters rule the world from the getgo that is EA.

EA. Im more into Solo play and RPG than multiplay so I tend to like the EA world better.

I voted EA because super-units and awesome mages are fun (and are more common then).

But then all my favorite nations are in MA (Pythium, Arcoscephale, Ashdod, Ulm, Marignon, TC Bureaucracy, Bandar Log, R'lyeh Fallen Star).

And I really enjoy the feel of LA (though it gets a little depressing after a while...) I wish a few more nations had a "happy" end, like Jomon, who I call "happy" because the humans win (my species!) and they don't end up heavily into death or blood magic.

I voted EA because it seems more "ancient" and mysterious to me :).

I'm for EA because I think there's more uniqueness to the nations, and the different monsters are awesome. EA Abysia for example, for me, loses most of its awesomeness when the Anointed go away.....

Voted late, because it's the end of the world, with bonus helpings of death, blood, and insanity.

Voted early because while I enjoy all of the eras it has the greatest magic diversity. My order of preference is something like EA>LA>MA that said though some of my favourite nations are MA only like Shinyuma and R'lyeh.

I voted MA, 'cause I'm in love with Shinuyama and Abysia's warlocks. But I do play every Era, with much pleasure.

I prefer MA for balance, but like EA too for the magic diversity.
Not a big fan of LA, which seems a bit bland to me.

Favourite age 16, your not a kid and your not an adult. LOL

Seriously, Middle Era because it has my most favourite Mod Nations in it

Ulm Reborn is LA, so that's my favorite era. :)

man tough question...

i like them all and they are all quite different. thematically i like LA the most because of the dark apocalyptic feel (gotta love bogarus theme wise :) ) but i have never even really played a game in LA because it is much more difficult to develop a strategy for the nations

whatever. its my favorite game and all ages/nations rock :P

Thank you!
I'm still too new to understand everything so much, but why do people say that EA favors SC so much?

EA has a lot of recruitable SCs. Niefelheim, Hinnom, Yomi, Fomoria... all of them have recruitable SCs, and that's just off the top of my head. Most nations have to summon SCs, especially in the other eras. So SCs are out and around much more quickly and are much more prevalent in EA games.

MA, followed by LA. I dont dislike EA, but I have a feeling that it should be split into an EA proper, with Ermor and Sauromantia and the like, and a "prehistory" primordial age (in fact, I sometimes do "primordial" games without human nations).

Speaking of themes, for some reason I have this impression that the final fall of Ermor(AKA: MA to LA)is underlying the major events in LA (the Ulm malediction, the Curse of Man, etc...)
