I think so, yes. I'm pretty sure I tested it the other day.

This game works great in Ubuntu 9.04. It even plays perfectly fine on a EEE 901 running 9.04 ;) and earlier versions too actually. Between my two laptops, it works great with an Intel (even in 9.04 which apparently as Intel problems... none severe enough to stop Dom3 from playing perfectly) and with an nVidia. I havent tested it with an ATI but I imagine it would be ok.

Cheers ;)

Hmm, then I must have done something wrong.
Did you use then debian-sdl that came with it?

Curious. Dom3 has always just worked out of the box for me. I didn't install anything to get it going -- except the video driver from System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers. Are you getting an error? Can you post it?

Cheers,
SD

I also just installed dom3 on a clean ubuntu 9.04 install, and it worked right away.

I would find it hard to hold Ubuntu responsible for any problems. Dominions 3 is actually developed on Ubuntu and then ported to Mac and Windows. Any problems is more likely to be graphics card and the drivers.

Lol, problem solved. I didn't check when downloading and have installed 32 bit version.

This is how all games should be developed ;) Does anyone still use windows or macs anyway? ;)

The keyword there being USERS
Those who just want to USE a computer like its a microwave, or more like an xbox. On the other hand, there are those of us who wish to play outside of the menus :)

Completely unrelated to the subject at hand, how is the hunt for True Scotsmen going?
