On the first turn of new PBEM the Axis ran into a carrier force at Hawaii and sank same then skipped the attack on Pearl which was wide open....why?????

This is a bug that sometimes (too often) happens. It's slated to be fixed in the next patch. Don't know when that will be, but the patch is being worked on.
