First off, a shout out to Don and Andy for putting so much effort into a fantastic pair of games.
Now, onto the question. I'm not sure if tweaking with survivability [for my own reasons] on infantry units would have any effect on their survival, as the help file notes that survivability is a post-penetration calculation. I've noticed nothing really different while testing it myself, and I was hoping someone with intimate knowledge of WINSPMBT game mechanics could explain.
Thanks and regards

Survival is for vehicle crews to survive bail-out
Preferences->Inf Toughness may be what you are looking for?

Thanks for clearing things up, Andy. It makes quite a bit more sense now. However, I was looking for a way to beef up an individual unit or unit type's survivability.

If you mean in MOBHack then no, not for infantry units. Survivability is for vehicles only and affects how well the tank survives penetration. Low survivability means more chance of catastrophic fire or explosion and that tends to be hard on the crew. A high survivability number ( 6 is the max ) gives a crew a better chance to survive the penetration but it's still secondary to how well the tank survives the penetration in the first place. However, there is nothing like that for infantry other than increasing "toughness" in preferences which I don't think is what you want

Thanks to both of you guys!
It really is no big deal, it's just me testing the limits of MOBHack and goofing with the game.
