First of all Patrick, I wish you a safe and pleasent deployment to Iraq.

For the comunity:
I am playing the Zone Recon mission of BCT (1971 version).
The objectives have been seized and I have destroyed two enemy recon elements.
At this time I am past 7 (seven) hours in game and nothing else has happend!?
Has anyone else had the same experience? If so - how long must I wait for the enemy full assault?

Hmmm ... dont think I've played that scenario. But now I am intrigued. might be time to give it a shot.

The zone recon, I believe, is a 12 hour mission. I think the scenario selection text when you pick the mission tells you how long, but I could be wrong. The was a "by request" scenario. I was not a fan, so the mission type didn't make the jump to ATF. I would be interested to here what you think.

Well Patrick - I like the general idea, that one can test different build ups of units with the same scenarios. As long as the enemy will not behave in exactly the same way.
I will put my patience to the limit and let the clock run till 12 hours.

I finaly made it:D - taking me over 15 hours in game to complete!
You were right Patrick - the enemy main assault happens between 11 and 12 hours in game.
One odd thing - none of my helicopters could be put in defilade?

I am pretty sure that is one of the oldest scenarios in the game, put together before helicopter defilade was implemented. But I will check it when I am reunited with my programming computer in Iraq.

Patrick - did you find out whether this scenario was from before helicopter defilade was implemented?

Sorry I didn't get back to you on this.

Roger. This scenario was built before that feature was implemented. This is why, in ATF, we went to a shared database for all scenarios. That way, an upgrade would propagate across all of the scenarios.
