Interesting stuff here, like some capabilities for live video conferencing.

or watching Family Guy.
I don't know, it feels that modern weapons/systems/vehicles are getting too complicated for their own good. Too much relying on high tech might be not the best idea.

Just your classic SF plot line - super solider spends so much time staring into his monitors he doesn't notice the primitive baddie about to bash his skull in with a rock.

The videoconference would nicely allow the number of misunderstandings multiply... Anyway, it will also provide a reason to keep No.4 in tank crews - it will have to be Tank Commander's secretary who will pick the phones and forward only those important enough for the TC to reply. He will also prepare hourly Powerpoint presentations ;)

AARGH! - Death by Powerpoint
A self-inflicted injury to the side using it. Add more casualties the longer it goes on.

I love the humor in all the responses to this post! Now this is how I expect you guys to be funny with this story..."Death by powerpoint"...
More articles coming as soon as I read the ones I want to post, making sure it is relevant to the game.

I suppose this has gone on since the Roman Legion was first issued the pilum...
But I worry that we're getting too high tech. While logistics have always been a military problem these days an army can be thrown into chaos by a shortage of batteries for all the high tech toys. Heck they barely teach old fashion map & compass land navigation anymore!

They are discussing the Land Warrior gear that 4-9 IN introduced and the equipment is top notch, giving incredible situational awareness never before used. Have no fear, the SBCT's very much train on the most basic and advanced fundamentals of war fighting, just in case the batteries are not available.

We already got F-117's that fly themselves to the target and back all the pilot has to do is guide the smart bomb in.
