Hello.

I've noticed that this had occurred in another thread but no known answer at that time. I have noticed that winSPMBT runs very slow in full screen mode (800X600) and normally in windowed mode (800X600). I'm running on a laptop with XP and 2GB RAM and haven't noticed this with other graphic programs/games running in full screen. Has anyone seen this before and if so, got an answer ?

Strange only thing I can think of is your graphic card does not like it, might happen I suppose if an inbuilt one.
Try adjusting the speed settings on the splash screen to compensate.

If your laptop has shared video memory, then it may need its video card settings tweaked to allocate more shared memory from the pool?.

Also, try the "use GDI" setting on the game options screen to see if there is any noticeable difference between it and DirectX mode. Also, you may need to set the other parameters on the misc tab, as described in "tuning your machine" section of the Game Guide.

Otherwise - if you have the CD version of the game - simply set a size larger than the desktop and it will run in full-screen "windowed" mode leaving the task bar at the bottom of the screen only.

Thanks for tips - I tried them all but to no effect so I downgraded the graphics driver as a last attempt and all now OK !
