How can i take screenshots during battle?

In windows you can use ALT+PRTSCRN and then paste into an image editing program.

And with linux (ubuntu for example), printscreen alone will do the trick.
I wonder what software can be used to record a battle, though.

Requires DirectX 9.0c or DirectX 10
I doubt this one will do on linux but it seems to be allright with a windows OS.

Snapz pro (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/) is a very good app for mac osx that can take screenshots and make video/audio recordings of anything on the screen. Can also save it in most formats.

Exellent for making gameplay videos or in my case instruction tutorial films for all kinds of software.
