I found a magic site that has a "Conjuration Bonus 50"

What does it do?

it halves the cost of any spell from the conjuration path. 50 is the percentage reduction bonus.

This is a rare astral site and may be the best site ingame imo or close to it.

Note however that unlike forge bonuses, the result is rounded up.

So the stupid bloodstone mirror that I found with a thau 20 bonus doesn't for instance make site searching cheaper. In fact, it's basically totally useless. :(

There was a single magic site I found which gave bonuses for two different schools of magic. I don't recall the name.

Try combining it wit Acashic Records, the best and most gem efficient site searching in the game.

I'm fairly certain that it's the summoning circle which has the 60% discount?
Mount chaining is "just" 40%.

Ah, my bad then. I've seen the summoning circle once, never held it for long enough to make use of it. Mount chaining I've had twice in MP, once as EA Mict and once as LA Agartha (I took it from LA Mictlan, funnily enough). Still, the 40% bonus is insane on onaquais/ozelotls and so on for mict.

I've yet to see any evocation sites. I think I've encountered all others. I always seem to find cedar pillars and never figure out what to use it for (ench30 site). Once I used it to spam some gargoyles, but after all they are nothing extremely useful when you compare them to tartarians. Earlier access to them though, but they lose their usability before long.

In the game where I had the Oak of Ages combined with Ultimate Gateway i summoned a large amount of Liches to "Ghost Rider" and "Manifestation" my foes into submission - at a gem cost of 3 and 2 gems one could certainly afford to have a dozen Liches doing little else.

So, besides Acashic as someone mentioned, remember that the GoR step for your Tartarian factory is Thaum. Ok, so you're saving N gems vs. D gems, but every little bit helps.

If you're an astral power, and can use the site as a mustering point, all the astral travel (teleport, gateway, etc.) spells are Thaum.

There a few remote attack spells that are Thaum too, in case you wanted to spam them.

Depending on your gem income, Gargoyles can at least be great thugs (especially when GoR'd and given some +MR, a brand, and a shield, but that's pretty expensive unless you've got bonuses from somewhere)

As for what to do with enchantment bonus, nearly all the undead creation spells are Enchantment. So, it's situational, but it's great early/mid game if you're trying to bootstrap into death (or nature, w/Treelords) or summon lots of chaff (longdead, claymen, etc.)

Also, if you happen to be Agartha, their statue/golem summoning spells use Enchantment.

Got the Ultimate Gateway next to my capitol in the last Noobs vs. Vets game when playing as Machaka. Used it to summon far too many fire drakes and faerie queens and pretty much everything. Still couldn't get by those SC Harbingers, though... Was going to cede it to Pythium so they could use it on their angels, but the game was already over.

Probably better for the early game, the Ultimate Gateway only starts comming into force around level 15... if you build for it :smirk:

Pfft. I found that site when I was Marverni while teleporting into an enemy province and I was like why the hell do I even have druids?. Then I found, while fighting that same enemy several discount and mage recruitment sites some of which I'd have killed for. And what had I? A stupid air mage site that I found after I had suicided my second air queen (I was still too nooby to use SCs). Oh, and a free castle when I had already 5 up.

Then in another game I found some better air mages (silver order I think) on my first air search and used one of them to rout an enemy army supported by 2/3 as many mages as I had in the whole game even killing his god 5 turns later.

Pardon my bad luck but I have never had ANY of those sites...

Question: say on the Conj site, do you have to be IN the province with the site for it to work, or is it just yours to use anywhere?:confused:
