On the screen for a tank, where it lists the weapons. I've never been able to figure out how much a tank round can penetrate. It lists pen, which i assume is for penetration. Heat for heat round, and APCR. I get the heat for heat rounds penetration. But what do the other two mean?

OK lets use the Centurion Mk5/1's 20 Pounder 52 gun as an example and lets start with "PEN"

"PEN" is the potential penetration of a High explosive and a Standard AP round so in this case it's 2:20 and that represents 2 cm HE penetration and 20 cm AP penetration.

HEAT pen for that gun is 0 cm becasue there were no HEAT rounds and APCR ( which represents any number of "sabot" type rounds ) is 25 cm

If a gun has no AP rounds and relies on HEAT and SABOT only the "PEN" number will simply be the HE pen and you'll see something like PEN 3:0

Armour is expressed as thickness in centimetres with the angle of the armour, if any, pre-calculated. . A tank with 50 cm of armour sloped at 45 degrees will be would be rated to 71 cm. 71 cm at 45 degrees would be equivalent to 100 cm. 100 cm of armour at 45 degrees would be equivalent to 141 cm

This is all explained in the " Encyclopaedia Screen " section HTML game guide. Click on " Encyclopaedia Screen " on the left hand side of the screen and it's the third screen shot down

That screen is accessed a few different ways. We did't want to duplicate the information in the GG so we settled on the encyclopeadia as the primary access so that's why it's there instead of the Playing a Single Battle section. However, I see a way to link those together and will make a change to the GG now
