I know lifeless units cant benefit from regenerate (except claymen) but can they heal themselves with a lifedrain weapon or spell?

I beleive they can.

But it can't be used against them.

For example- a poison golem w/a life drain standard and boots of quickness is a rather usefull anti-SC. Or just SC in general.

some might even say it is the SC champion.

Well, it still damages them, but doesn't heal the wielder or recover fatigue. I don't know if it causes fatigue on lifeless units.

Well, I tried to use claymen as batteries for soul vortexing battlemages. Didn't affect them at all, neither damage nor fatigue.

I used to think this was true, but someone corrected me and I tested it--if you script mages to cast Drain Life and the opposition is Lifeless, they won't even cast it. Life draining has no effect at all on lifeless creatures.

remenber that drain weapons hve a cap of drain damage(5 i think, not sure) and the rest is normal damage.
lifeless are immune to drain but not the rest of the damage.
