Hi there, apologies if this has been discussed before I have nt been able to search the forum for this:
Just finished viewing a MP game battle where an enemy (Titan) Tartarian wearing a Displacemnet Armour (Protection 18) with an overall Protection value of 20 or 21 suddenly has it jacked up to 30 following a humble "Iron Warrior" from one of the mages in his party. I know this is due to the Iron Warriors because I tracked turn by turn the Tartarian protection and just afer the Iron Warriors is cast not only his Prot goes up, to 30, but also I could see its Shock Resistence weakened accordingly as the spells says.
Puzzled as as far as I know Iron Warriors only increases protection to 20, or gives a +3 in case Protection was already 20 or higher, correct?
This is CBM 1.6. Anyone has an idea what is going on?

Ironskin increases natural prot to 20, then armor stacks with it.

I see. Thanks. Everyday one learns something new indeed.
But not sure yet how things stack never really understood it so better ask now that is relevant! :D, i.e.:
Tartarian“s base protection = 4
Displacement armor = (Protection, Body)18
Black Steel Helmet = (Protection, Head) 23
Shield of Gleaming Gold = (Protection, Shield) 22
Result, Total Protection: 21
Total protection head: 25
Total protection body:20
After "Iron Warriors":
Result, Total Protection: 30
Total protection head: 32
Total protection body: 29
??????
- Is the shield factored in here somewhere? How?
- Is the way things are stacked by using half the base protection and then adding any armor/helmet on top? still, this does not explain what happens after Iron Warriors...
- Hows the overall Total Preotection Figure calculated?

ByTheWay:
the best way to search this forum is to NOT search this forum. Or at least, not to use the built-in forum search.
Use Google or Yahoo or some other specialized search site with extensive advanced-search options. Some learning might be involved but it will help with other questions, not just dom3 ones, that you have in the future.
They tend to allow site: as an option so typing in your search and adding
site:forum.shrapnelgames.com
will search just this forum. This will also allow many options not supported by the one built in here.

No, iirc it subtracts a mixed term. Something like
BP + AP - AP*(40 - BP)

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Tasteless, I know, but I couldn't resist...:D
