Excellent. I'll put the game page up later tonight. Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, I'll be changing the map slightly to put in fixed start positions at each of the corners.

Here's the modified version of elmokki's map with fixed start locations.

I goofed up the llamaserver link, so you'll have to download it from this post for now.

The game page is up. Game name = Quartet. Feel free to take as long as you need to create a pretender. We'll begin once they are all sent in.

I've uploaded my pretender, but unfortunately my email program chose to use an outgoing address that I can only access at home. Could you delete the Ermorian pretender so that I can re-upload it properly?

Done

I haven't heard from Abysia, but I'm postponing 24h just in case.

oh crap sorry. I thought i had turned in that turn. I'll be faster for the rest of this week.

No problem. I'm glad I pushed it back.

Oh and I have a corrupt turn file, and can't take this turn. I'm going to roll it back, and rehost turn 10 immediately. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Oh and everyone make sure and delete any .2h or .trn files before downloading the new turn, because it has been known to cause problems.

Corrupt turn files can often be fixed just by asking for a resend.

Doh, I didn't think of that and read your post too late. I'll keep that in mind for the next time though, thanks. That's the first time I've run into one.

Gah I MF'ing hate rehosts. Rather important battle switched from crushing victory (Abysians don't route gracefully) to defeat. :(

SciencePro

hmmmmm i know you didn't do it on purpose but rolling back actually changed the outcome of a battle that baalz and i had. He won during the first host but I won during the re-host.

Yipes, I apologize again. I hate them too, but unplayable turns are just about the only reason I'd ever re-host.

It's unfortunate I didn't try the resend thing. Are corrupt turns a common thing now? I never recall running into them a few months back, but the past two games I've played in, someone has ended up with one.

No worries, mana from heaven for Science Pro. :)

Yeah i got off to a pretty crappie start and now i realize that ermor and bandar are fighting each other so without help I doubt I'll be able to stop baalz. But this good luck may keep me in for a bit longer and hopefully i'll learn something useful.

I've seen something of a recent spree of them cropping up lately, yes, but they do happen from time to time normally. You can generally expect something weird to happen at least once per game, whether due to the llamaserver acting up or dominions having an issue. Anyways, now you know what to do in the future if something happens.

I'm out camping for the weekend. Could we please delay hosting till Monday? Then we can get back to our awesome quick host cycle.

That sounds good to me. This game has been going remarkably fast, which is awesome.

Yes, of course. Added 72h to the timer.

Nice battle, by the way ;)

Indeed. :) Too many horsies!

Whew, it's time for Bandar to throw in the towel. Well played, Graeme!

Graeme Dice

Thanks. I knew I was taking a big risk by leaning so heavily on longdead horsies, but was hoping that they would pay off, and apaprently they did.

I was worried that Shinuyama might have put charcoal shields on some of his Shura. But his earth income was terribly, unluckily, bad, so he never got the chance.
