View Full Version : self -killing old-fashioned militia in water province for income

I have a lot of militia and need to suicide them somehow.I can't ask my neighbors to let me use their PD, as it will not be accepted.
I have a neutral underwater province I can use, with some tritons there. I want to use a commander with barrel of air.
What spell/tactic would allow me to kill own units, without killing/routing neutral province defence? Foul vapors will not work.Should work UW. UW is, in general, the only kind of province that can turn out independent in the middle of the game
And, maybe simplier question - In one of games I had similar problem with expencive cripped commanders I wanted to get rid of. Maybe some items will help?

just leave them in the province without the commander, they should drown the next turn as they can't breath UW on their own...

I need to leave indep. defence there untouched - I want to have indep.army there.

You could summon bog beasts! Give your commander a snake ring, and order the bog beasts/militia to guard commander. This will eventually kill them all, while causing minimal casualties to the independents.

That would work (with bog beasts) but N2W2 required for them is a really rare magic set,not available for me. Maybe other ideas?

There is that item that causes disease in the province its wearer is in.

what does this have to do with anything...? if you leave your militias without your commander with water breathing equipment than they'll just drown, no battles needed... either you put them inside the province or on a normal aquatic/amphibious commander without the water breathing items, next turn all the militias will be gone...

I'm not sure why he wants to leave the province independent, but if he doesn't own any other water provinces, then he can't do that.

He could just attack the province then and tell his commander with the water item to hold, hold, hold, retreat. The infantry will all get ganked. I mean they're militia with poor amphibian.

That's probably the best bet. Some might escape, but tritons are fast and militia are slow.
If there are only a few tritons, use less "holds" on the commander.
