Q. Are there any units immune to insanity?

More specifically are mindless commanders immune to insanity?

Yes, one of R'lyeh's Illithid commanders is immune to insanity.

More specifically are mindless commanders immune to insanity?
One would think, but probably not.

Er, R'lyeh's starspawn priests and mages are immune to the insanity caused by their own dominion. I don't think they're immune to insanity caused by other effects.

Aren't some Jomon and Atlantis UW recruitable units, if not immune, atleast resistant to R'lyeh's dominion insanity?

Their descriptions give a hint to that direction.

Yes. LA Atlantis underwater commanders, the Forgiving Fathers and Merciful Mothers, are immune to R'Lyehs dominion effects.

They (or most of them anyway) are not immune. It is just very, very unlikely that they will ever get insanity. This is governed by the voidsanity attribute, which does not have its own icon. Starspawn have voidsanity rating of 18, a couple of heroes and void creatures have a rating of 20. Most units only have a voidsanity rating of 10 or thereabouts.
