I am playing for ea pangaea. I have grouth 3 scale; I've casted carrion woods global enchantment. I constantle have about 100 corpses at my capital, so my capital's population decreases.
Is this a work of venom charm?
Also I have 68 harpies on patrol. I've two or three times caught harpie scouts of la pangaea; harpie scouts have +20 stealth.
I am suspicious that these corpses are the work of machaka's Ear of the lord, but such spies are also have +20 stealth, but I didn't still didn'r caught any of such spies. If this is a venom charm of machaka, how can machaka's spies avoid detection when harpies are caught?
There is also ma china in game, with imperial consort with +35 stealth, but it doesn't seem that china has interest in peace or war with me and machaka, as it doesn't have borders with me and i believe it doesn't have borders with machaka, especially long borders.

You should read Carrion Woods' spell description.

You should read Carrion Woods' spell description.

I have corpses only in capital province, and vinemen are created evrywhere. Does carrion woods kill population only in one province, and what this province is? Capital province, province where the encantment was cast, province where is caster this month?

With this enchantment, population living inside the Pretender's Dominion will quickly die and the carcasses will be reanimated by living plants. In forests, animals will be reanimated to join the forces of Pangaea when they die their natural deaths.

Quoted from the wiki spell description.

Basically as long as you have this global up, your population will die in friendly dominion.

Think of LA Ermors dominion effect.

I would guess you always have corpses at your capital simply because your capital is almost certain to have far more population than any of your other provinces. And again since it is likely Carrion Woods kills a percentage of population each month rather than a fixed number (since Dominions generally uses percentages for many calculations over fixed numbers), your capital will always have the most corpses, and Carrion Woods probably doesn't have a 100% conversion rate.

The result of all this could then easily be the ~100 corpses you see at your capital each month. This should decrease as your capital population decreases, or if you use the corpses yourself by reanimating with Carrion Lords etc.

I'm not absolutely certain of the mechanics of Carrion Woods though, as I've never cast the spell myself or really tested it (and unable to test right now). So please take the above as an educated guess rather than gospel truth. The above does tie in with how Dominions usually works, but hopefully Jarkko will post soon to clarify all this as he's the Carrion Woods / Pangaea expert.

Can it not be that there are corpses all over the place but you don't have death mages to detect them?

Our capital also is likely to have the highest dominion and thus the highest percentage as well as the highest population.

Jesus Kref. You cast Carrion Woods, and you wonder why your pop is going down?

Read the manual dude.

Not much in the manual still applies, with all the mods, but Carrion Woods still does.

This. You need death mages to see corpses.

Great, so if I cast raven feast at your capital, according to the wiki I should get two D gems, so it would convert A to D at 2:1.
Ok, I'll do that if I'm really desperate for death gems, which I'm not at the moment.

Ah yes, fair chance it is exactly this. I made the mistake with my long answer of assuming the original poster had accurate corpse info from all his provinces  and hence wanted an explanation as to why his capital always had the highest number of corpses each month.

Sure, I didn't knew that only death mages see corpses.
Will carrion reanimation stop when everyone die?

I probably deserve it, as not starting with the most obvious reason is a definite schoolboy mistake on my part.

Q - "Do I need to plug my computer into the wall?"

It was a good answer, you hardly made any mistake. Besides, it's not like people here are going to say things like this about you just because you didn't have all the information handy:

Calahan: I've noticed a marked drop-off in the quality of answers on the Shrapnel boards since the incident. I wonder if it has anything to do with almost all the players who actually genuinely know about the game mysteriously disappearing at the start of May?!?

Since you are not banned from this forum, please feel free to correct the low quality members here; we ask questions to learn more about the game and we look forward to increasing our meager knowledge through your infinite wisdom :).

Wow, how cool of you to pull Calahan's quote from an entirely different (and non-Shrapnel) forum, just to mock him: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Dom3mods/index.php?showtopic=79&st=15

Gee Mods, how come this kind of crap is acceptable, and whatever silliness Sombre got up to wasn't?

The Calahan on the other forum is my evil twin with a goatee beard from a parallel universe, and I want nothing to do with him in any way. He is a truly horrible person who I would recommend to avoid interaction with at all costs.

I'm just glad you used up 100% of the "I am all offended" so Calahan was able to take it as a joke.
