Recover Lost Items

My werewolves changed shape and dropped their items (shield, etc.). Is there a way to recover them? Build a lab? Bring in another commander, or??

They are gone permanently unless you can prevent the shapechange by starting the turn over from scratch.

If you are in a province with a lab, the items will go into the lab when you shapechange.
