longbowmen forgetting to fire

is it a known bug? in one of my armies my longbowmen (no battle orders) opted for a charge with their swords to melee instead of shooting. They did it for two battles in a row now. no spells were cast, no relevant globals are up.

Check the first longbowman in the squad. He's probably lost an arm.

It's a known bug. Apparently the first unit in the squad is checked to see if the orders are valid.
