Not entirely connected with the game, but let's just have a look how the Real Thing looks like, right? ;)

Very nice Marek how often do they have these you seem to produce pictures from quite often.
Is it just me or are these weapon instalations getting bigger & bigger.
I have driven cross country & looking at some I would be seriously concerned about toppling turning into any slope at speed.

As Warwick said, the Tank day is annual, kinda "closing the season" event. Plus there is an "opening the season" with another special days, dedicated to various branches of ground equipment - the Engineer day, the AAA day etc., each year different.
Plus there are other events not connected with the mil. tech. museum :)
EDIT: BTW many vehicles struggled yesterday in the mud, ecen the Pandurs were slipping and I feared for the Khalid - its transmission is in bad shape and most of the time it struggled on lowest gear and made a terrible noise :)

Oh, forgot, for Andy and Don, here are stats of the Pandur M1 with the slats:
Length (without/with slats): 7384/8420 mm
Width )ditto): 2670/3440 mm
Height (RCWS in combat/travel mode) 3790/2680 mm
Speed: 95 kph
Weigth: Not Available.
The M1 variant has water jets removed and thus cannot swim.
Oh, and also this: cannot fid the original thread asking for aerial pics of Mid Eastern buildings, but I think these pics from Afghanistan may come in handy:

I'm trying to sort out exactly what's going on regarding the Pandur and the Czech republic
It's on, it's off, It's on but there are corruptions issues so maybe it's off and AMV gets the contract but then it's seems to be going ahead
I'm running out of answers I can trust from English sources so perhaps someone in the Czech Republic can enlighten me as to what's going on with this order as of today ??
It also looks like , from all the photos I've seen that the Czech version has the 30mm RWS. What gun is it ?

Don,
I hope these help:
Czech articles on the deal from last year.
http://zpravy.idnes.cz/secret-pandur-agreement-bring-the-politicians-we-ll-pay-pio-/prilohy.asp?c=A100221_142541_domaci_abr
Czech government apparently paid more than double (For 107 PANDUR II) then Portugal paid for their 270 like equipped PANDUR II. Also shows the RAFAEL RCWS-30 system.

Announces the joint Czech and Austrian investigation into the deal.

OCT. 2009 they report Czechs get first 17 units.

On the RCWS-30 system.
Did a search for STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH which was broken up in the 90's. General Dynamics owns the STEYR group that makes the PANDUR. All they had on the site was a couple press releases concerning they got the contract dated on JAN. 2006.
