Spotted this today, there's a group (http://www.emgo.org/performers.htm) out there who performs ancient music on replicas of the actual historical instruments and they even do Sumerian music.

The Lyre was the most popular Sumerian instrument. In fact, one of the few remaining artifacts from the Sumerian civilization is a bull's head lyre. That is what the musician is playing in the Sumerian faction painting.
