Congratulations for this game, but I have a little problem with graphics in the combat screen. I cannot see missiles, torpedoes or other graphic effects, the game freezes 1-2 seconds and displays strange glitches. After this the combat ends succesfully and the game works properly. My sistem has:

Windows xp home edition service pack 3
Mobile Intel pentium 4 3.06Ghz
Ram 2040MB
Nvidia GeForce FX Go5100 latest drivers.

Thank you very much

Yes, I have a similar problem. In combat I often have to wait a bit till something happens when two units fire at each other. I don't know if there are missile effects in the game. Didn't know if these strange graphical effects in combat were intended or not, I also get them on the main map when for example a plane crashes. It can take several minutes until all the planes that didn't get to my own territory at the end of turns crashed and it's accompagnied by these strange expanding graphics effects. I have a Radeon HD 3450 graphics card, an Athlon 2400+ and 1,5 gb RAM.

I have to add something. I just checked the screenshots on the Shrapnel Games World Supremacy page. These missile effects that can be seen there aren't displayed correctly on my Radeon HD 3450 card. You should definetely fix that. I think plane crashes should also display explosion effects and I don't get them, only graphical glitches. I can send screenshots later if it's possible here.

Here's some screenshots that show the graphical glitches in combat. The glitch on the map happened when I tabbed in and out. Please fix that stuff or give me some advice what to do to fix that. I have no real combat effects, just glitches. Note the lines and dots in tactical combat screens. They seem to replace the combat graphics and expand or move randomly across the screen. Very strange.

Anyone here with the same problem? Hello?

Havent seen anyone else mention having the problem.
I dont know if it will work,...but I would try----

Uninstall the game
Uninstall video card drivers.
Download the most recent video card drivers.
Install those drivers.
Install the game.

Hopefully that helps.

If not,..try updating DirectX.

Wanna mention another thing. I also tested the game on another PC (1GHz, GeForce MX2, 1gb RAM) and I got the same graphical errors. Maybe I should try updating DirectX.

Nope, didn't work. I think I'll mail Tech Support. Don't wanna mess around here anymore, I must contact the developers.

OK, I am in contact with Aaron since last week via E-Mail, but I have another question: Could these glitches be somehow related to graphic cards settings? I have all settings on "Application controlled" for my Radeon HD 3450, only Mipmap quality level on "high". Could changing that fix the problem? Plus, i wanna add: I have tried installing the newest graphics and mainboard drivers and the newest Direct X, but all this doesn't fix my graphics problems. xisco99, do you have something to add? You seem to be the only one having the same problems.

Actually, I'm having the same issue you're having with alt-tabbing, and I emailed Aaron about it... haven't noticed any glitches in combat yet!

Hmm, I really don't know why I'm experiencing these problems because I've updated every driver possible, and all of this doesn't fix it (and I have no problems at all in other 3d games). Hey, I wanna add a question to all users in the forum: Do you see missiles and gunfire in combat? If not, look at the effects folder in the game directory. There you should see all the graphics that SHOULD be displayed in combat normally. Maybe some hardcore strategy fans simply didn't notice the graphical problems. All files are OK in my copy of the game, but I simply don't get the effects. It seems the graphics card isn't able to display them. It's simply **** that I'm not able to experience the game the way it was meant to be. I hope Aaron is able to fix these problems somehow, and I'm willing to give him every information about my PC he might need.

I know I have saw the missles from planes, and I am pretty sure I see ll the other effects,...but I will check later on to be sure.

Ok, tested it and all effects work fine for me.

OK, I really don't know what causes these errors. I've tested adjusting the settings of my graphics card, but that also doesn't fix it. My grapics card is Shader 2.0 capable (also Direct X 10 capable. And, as I've stated before, I've tested the game on another PC with an old Geforce MX 100/200 graphics card and experienced the same glitches there. I should test it out on a newer PC when I get the chance.

Oh no, I've finally found a working new AGP Catalyst driver, and it does improve performance in 3D games (it's a driver from december 20th, 2010) and fixes some graphics glitches in other games, but ****, it still doesn't fix the glitches in World Supremacy. Man, I want a working graphics fix! This rendering simply can't be more complex than 3d post processing effects stuff and things like that (the graphics in World Supremacy are very retro), which my graphics card can handle. I'm really getting annoyed. I can't do anything anymore to fix this problem. You have to introduce some kind of alternative rendering mechanism in combat. I think I can't even see the cool nuke effects on the main map! I want real combat effects, not just some expanding lines and strange dots. This simply looks bad! Please do something, Aaron! Do I have to give more proof or stuff like that?

Another question: Look at the combat screenshots at the first page: What are the unit symbols in the upper right corner of the screen for? Is this the turn sequence?

Yes, I believe this is the turn sequence...

OK, a new patch is out. I'll try it, but I don't think Aaron adressed the graphical problems yet. I'll keep you updated how the game runs with the new patch. Hopefully he's able to fix the problems.

Hey, to anyone having the same problems as I do: Just set your Windows language settings to English (USA). It was caused by different number formats in the German language settings I had set (cause I'm German). So everyone not from the USA or Britain with different number formats could will have these problems. Just try it!

You can also just change the number formats to the same as in the English (US) and English (GB) settings (custom regional settings). Doing this has not just fixed the errors, but also improved performance on my PC.
