Quick question..
If I use Sea Kings Goblet it says I can take 50 troops into the water. I would assume it alos would let them breathe and not drown.
But I also noticed that there are pills of breathing the allow 10 troops to breathe under water.
My question is, If I use the sea Kings Goblet do I ALSO have to use water breathing pills?

Nope, those can be used separately.

On an unrelated note, when it say 50 troops, you can read it as 100 sizes worth of stuff, so 25x size 4 units; 47x size 2 + 1x size 6 ...etc
I assume different breathing item adds onto each other, eg. size 100 from goblet + size 20 from pills = 120 sizes of capacity.
Flying carpet flies 14 sizes of troops, so for example a bane can fly 2 behemoths + 1 wight guard around.

...that would be a helluva sight on a flying carpet.
