They should get rid of Flying boots. the reason is that there are no front lines. There are no narrow passes to defend. Everyone just flies there SC's everywhere. Its just kinda silly.

YEAH! and they should get rid of teleport, cloud trapeze, astral travel, the gatestone, and boots of the planes too! those things are nasty and make it so hard to turtle!

oh, and sailing too. and flying carpets, stymphalian wings, and pocket ships

At least with teleport you need 3 astral. Make this stuff more difficult to get.

Ok, so someone is using it against you in a game right now and making you cry, right? Snipe them with ritual spells before they can escape. Seeking arrow, mind hunt, vengeance of the dead, wind ride, maybe flying monkeys, blah blah.

The boots actually cost gems too, *and* they don't allow you to move in the magic phase.

But perhaps all flying troops and commanders should be removed. And sailers. And sneakers. All those make frontlines useless. One might almost believe they were put into the game to make it impossible to have unpenenetrable choke-points, what were "they" thinking?

And if you're playing with Yomi, those flying boots are *very* hard to come by. ghoul31, retreat from my lands or be destroyed! :D

Whoops, I think I'm somehow the cause if this flying boots angst :p Where else would you spend your air gems on for a non air nation? :D

It would be interesting to have a game with no flying or teleporting though. Maybe someone will be interested enough to make a mod that takes out all non adjacent movement. I would play in a game like that!

Its easy to talk tough when you attack people two on one. This game is full of cowards.

Ghoul, you attacked me when I was fighting Yomi. Isn't that 2 on 1? If your troops weren't cold blooded I would have been more worried. Isn't abysia attacking Yomi? So isn't THAT 2 on 1? Your statements confuse me. Luckily I'm busy with niefel or I might help out, ulm and yomi I mean.

you had had the most provinces and seemed to be running away with the game. So 2 small nations against a giant one is a fair fight.

Yomi and Ulm on the other hand are just as powerful as me.

ghoul31, you're a good player, but a litle diplomacy would take you a long way. You can't say, "...I was going to attack you, but now I don't know what I'm going to do" and expect anyone to wait on your good pleasure. Our war, as I told you it would, made both of us opportunites of choice for other nations. Ulm attacked you, and (now) Sauro has attacked me as well. Brace yourself buddy, the pain coming down on you.

Eh? Getting attacked by two people at once says nothing about those players. Instead, it indicates that you are doing your diplomacy wrong. You should never allow the situation with your neighbors to degrade to that poor extent unless you are up against an unrecoverable diplomactic penalty (like being about to win).
