Steel Panthers has always been one of my favorite games. However, since I went from XP to Windows7 I haven't touched the game. After reading about the new patch I'm tempted to reinstall. Here are my questions.
1. I've always played full screen, but after reading about the new patch, a windowed display seems to be the least hassle and system risk. How will a windowed display be different from the full screen I have always used?
2. I'm one of the PC users who avoids messing the OS unless absolutely necessary and if something happens I'm at a total loss on what to do. Are there any pitfalls with the new patch coping with Windows7?
Thanks for any opinions.

1. depends on screen resolution, if set at higher values you wont notice the difference, using fullscreen fix is only for those who really like to play that way, i alwas played on windowed because i'm usually multitasking around.
Btw:there's no "system risk" unless you mess with the files
2.There's absolutely no need to "mess with the OS", win 7 just hides your files if in /program files, just change the install directory to whatever place you'd like.

I can see with my Win7 that full-size windowed mode is much slower then full screen mode.

Unfortunately with about 1/5 ratio full screen mode comes as completely black screen and I can't switch it off neither alt-tab and I have to restart the PC.
