View Full Version : Little Glitch about Helicopter Altitude

Sometime ago I opened MBT's first scenario (WinSMPBT Tutorial Scenario), and when I tried to cycle between the Apache's armor description (on the unit info screen) I noticed that the altitude descriptor was also changed, from being Landed, to Low-Altitude, to High-Altitude for each cycle of Armor descriptor. I don't think it's scenario specific, because I have also tried other scenarios; 15 (Panjishir Valley) & 46 (Amphibous Raid on N.Korea), and tried a battle generator, all with the same result.
Not that it's a big issue though (mind you), I just want to report this.

I created a random battle, as Greece.
I picked 2 Apaches and 2 Aegean Hawks.
I right clicked on each, they were on low, clicked on information and then back on the map.
I right clicked on them again to check the altitude and they were still on low.
Or are you talking about something else?

Yeah, i had noticed that too, but since Helos don't have heat armor, i guess that's not a great issue...
Get a landed helo, click it's "steel armor" field to change it so it reads Heat armor, look at the altitude change buttons, and also at it's "moving" status... See it?

You are correct and we will look into it. Tests revealed an intermittant quality to the "bug". If it's landed and does not have the MP to take off it will not and if it's at High altitude it will not change. Given few people would every check helo armour explains why it's taken years for anyone to notice
