Hi,
I am not experienced concerning scenario design but I am curious: Are there some (perhaps not so obvious) ways to randomize a scenario - so that you can actually play your own dog food ;).
I know winSPMBT has superb features for creating battles and campaigns; I am talking more about creating special scenarios like rescue operations and that stuff.
Thanks.

Scenarios are fixed.
The only random element is the %age chance for a reinforcement to arrive. Creative use of low numbers there may make things variable (loads of low rolls = you meet a horde). However - what the AI makes of platoons whose HQ never arrives etc...

What you are asking, is not too hard to create in a single battle.
Say a Dunkirk situaton where you would have to evac as many as possible, then have results on how many survived.
Another could be a fighting withdrawal in Arnhem.
Endless other possibles:)

For search & rescue type missions the % chance of reinforcing works quite well the other slightly longer approach which should work is to do a branching campaign. Say 4 similar scenarious, save the first shift some guards etc & save, repeat then make a branching campaign with equal chance of selecting any of them so you dont know which your playing. wait 6 months & take it for a spin.

Thx for your input.
The campaign trick + together using % change reinforcing should be sufficient, I guess.
