Gandalf's Tower - (Running)

Here is a new game for those who want to play a tower map.

Tower map are made with the shape of a pipe so everybody have only 2 neighbors at a time (http://www.dom3minions.com/files/SmTower.jpg). I found this one on gandalf's site which seems to be very nice concerning starting points,lands and size but unfortunately the map is blurry. So if you have a better looking tower map to suggest i'm listening.

Players: 10 (9 lands - 1 water)
Mods: CBM 1.92 & Streamers and standards.
Victory condition : Until survivors agree for a winner ... or to the death !

Everyone start with the same poor nations with H1 and mage 1x.
But most of indies lands have some magic sites (already up, no need to site search) who spawns some random indis (troops mages commanders...)
I think in a tower map this mod could be simply awesome.

Since it would be a very different game with this mod active, i will only set it up if almost everyone want it.

Why are there Victory Points in the map if the game is setup to be won by Dominion?

Never screwed up an early game like i did in this one. (thanks to early bad events also)

mmh i won't take this decision on my own especially since it will have a low impact on me because i m about to die.

I will add 12h to this turn so people can express their opinion on how they want to solve this (make you stall or rollback).

As i said it won't have any impact on me so i don't mind rolling back.
If i don't have any comment in 12h i will rollback.

Rollbacks are the stuff of seven hells, sent by the archbug himself to torment the realm of crapnel.

In other words, no a single player having a problem early in the game does not warrant a rollback, unfortunately the potential game breaking bugs are all too prevalent. Trust me, I've been through this dozens of time. Rollbacks are very seldom worth the trouble they cause.

Yandav, your situation is unfortunate but I'm not in favor of a rollback for a single stale turn, especially this early on when they don't hurt as much, turns aren't that demanding and you're not engaged in any wars, sorry.
Personally, I'm never in favor of rollback for what it's worth.

I've had a fair deal of games abruptly finished due to rollback bugs and crashes.

I hate to ask this of you guys, but I just got divorced in Brazil, and I am returning to America.

My plane leaves on Tuesday morning, and I will be in a place with access to a computer sometime in the afternoon of Wednesday.

So, I would humbly request an extension of 72 hours in order to give me time to reach my destination in America.

I think this game have met too many problems in the first 20 turns, i'm wondering if it worths it to continue this game which is already badly unbalanced.

I think even for you it won't be fun to continue cause you won't meet any descent opponent in later game, however i can be wrong.

In fact, your situation was not so bad as you think, pakoito, for the powerful van declared war on me.....
The van has really grew too fast and too large, I don't know how long I can hold him. Maybe the Rly can do sth? If I was down then the van will have 60+ provinces and who can stop him at that moment?

Anyway, close the game or not is both OK for me.

My thug strat got countered by Ulm's Black Guards. And I have no alternate way to kill them because my EVO is low, Fir Bolgs are chaff without Fog Warriors and my castles are 1 turn away from being sieged.

I can Cloud Trapeze all of them to safety and restart again, which is pointless. I've lost.

Well, I'm the most experienced player here by far. Seems I've managed to get myself into a something of a newbgame, tho not intentionally. Let's not forget that we're playing a tower map as well, which is perfect for a overly aggressive player like myself since I can't be ganked.

My point is, I'm fairly certain I can't be beat even at this point, partially due to a somewhat better start position (not far from water and next to a crippled Marginon), quite a lot more experience and, well, let's face it, Midgard's not really a bad nation either.
So, keeping all that in mind and the fact that we seem to be loosing a second player, I'm fine with closing this game. I doubt it would give me much pleasure to bash on the AI and the rest of you one by one.

However, if you guys want to continue I certainly won't turn my back on this game.
