Looking for a list of what I can wish for or a thread about the wish spell. I believe I have seen this, but don't seem able to locate it.

I believe the wiki has the list.

BTW "Dom4" is not a valid wish.

A Seraph is good...

Blood slaves is also good... ;)

The common wisdom is that you wish for SC chassis (seraph, chayot being the most popular- note that you get them as Units, not commanders, so you need to GOR them.), gems (splits your 100 Astral Pearls in 20 of each gem- mostly just an efficient way to alchemy, and probably not what you researched wish for...), blood slaves (250, I think- enough to get you into blood magic), or artifacts (Remember, there is still only 1 of each, so if someone else has, say The Chalice, and you wish for it, you steal it. Of course, another wisher can then steal from you). "Armageddon" is situtionally useful (kills 20% of the world population- a few of those and no one has any income anymore, and it cant be dispelled like Utterdark)

Wish is mostly just a way to turn pearls into some other gem type, since wishing for gems nets you 25 of each non-slave type, which can be perfectly converted back to 100s, or you can leave some types while converting others, thus changing your gem balance towards whatever type you keep.

Wishing for SCs usually means you're playing vanilla and have way too many gems because of clamming, at which point blowing 100s on a seraph might almost seem like a good idea.

In SP I've wished for food because I was in a major rush to stop my army from starving and I didn't have enough nature mages to cook up a decent batch without blowing a 100 pearls.

I've tried using wish to get a clean death to get a decent transformation into a wight mage, but something about getting hit with a ton of javelins kinda leaves you pretty chewed up.

By which time you've comprehensively beaten the SP AIs, right?

Wait, you're still using troops that require food in armies large enough to have supply problems by the time you can cast wish? =P

Its single player. Its not as if the AI ever figures out counters for large armies. Granted, its not as if it ever figures out counters for super combatants either, and those are far more fun.

It was SP. SP usually lets me devise strategies at my leisure, unless I really suck early on in which case by mid-game I'm trying to get the enemy off my doorstep.

That's why I was asking/checking that he had already won against AI --- it would be so nice to discover that he had not --- though I doubt it somehow ... :(

I'd like to have had trouble like this against the AI, but unfortunately I have not ..
