Most new tactical wargames (I mean it in general not related to Shrapnel) seems to have a WWII set.

WinSpmbt is really good but on the other hand it is 'sad' that a game, developed in 1996, is still the gold standard when it comes to modern tactical warfare.

So, is there any plan or chance that Shrapnel publishes a really great, complex and an open (mod-friendly) modern tactical game in the next couple of years? Or do you think that there is just no market anymore for that kind of stuff - in the world of 'stupid' smartphone and tablet Pc apps?

Hey, if there is a developer out doing it then we'd love to publish something like that. Unfortunately, it seems like most devs are moving towards your last statement...or worse, Facebook games.
