I managed to reach first the lvl8 in construct in a mp game for the first time ! I tried to anticipate the needs to craft the hammer and get a mage with 4E4F, but i don't see the hammer in the list. Was wondering if CBM changed the cost or i m missing something ?

In the CBM 1.92 mod doc you have the following

#selectitem "Hammer of the Forge Lord"
#mainlevel 5 -- +1
#secondarylevel 4 -- +1
#end

Which means that it requires a 5-earth, 4-fire caster to forge it AND that it costs 40 earth and 25 fire (or 30 earth and 18 fire if you are using the dwarven hammer to forge it).

Given all the forging changes made by CBM, I strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the CB1.92 forging reference.pdf file that is bundled with CBM 1.92. I've been caught by things like this before as well.

I hadn't realised it was possible to make an item's cost consist of more than one type of gem?

Plenty of items do it, from artifacts like The Chalice to a simple firebrand.

I'm not sure that it is even a minority of the magic items, particularly at the higher levels. It is really, really common.

In CBM forging reference, it says Sanguine Douses are available, but I can't forge them. Is there some other Mod that ban them?

Error in the Guide CBM banned it.

Wait. It is completely banned now? I thought it was just an artifact.

It's Construction 8 (and hence a unique artifact). Is that wrong in the Forging Reference? If so, poo.

You can not ban/remove an item.

The only way to largely "remove" an item is to move it to const 8.

I thought you could mod an item to require construction-10, thus rendering it unattainable save by wishing for it.

Or construction-12, where there actually are a few items. Though you can research it, you just have to get from 8-12 in one turn.

I think there is a problem with the boots of Antaeus, i should be able to craft them with 4E 1N and my mage 6E 4N can't craft them

Those no longer exist in CBM, they had to ber removed to create earth rings.

Then that, also, is a mistake in the CBM forging guide, n'est-ce pas?
