OT: Would love to see Dom 3 on IOS.

Just started playing an MP game on my iPhone called Starbase Orion and, aside from the interstellar setting and overall much simpler mechanics, reminded me of Dominions 3 (moving armies around, researching, pre-determined battles based on tactical commands). I haven't been around these forums for a long time so its probably been discussed/dismissed, and suppose it's a pipe dream, but man, that would be cool to play D3 on an iPhone/iPad.

But it's light years away. Dom so heavily depends on MM & keyboard shortcuts & mouse. It's alien to iOS apps world.
Now, if it were to be simplified, MM reduced, controls adapted to touch screen gestures. Ahh, what a nice dream :)

Perhaps dom-IV or CoE-IV would make this leap. Otherwise in a few years one would need to buy a laptop just to play dom (b/c I suspect that the laptop is going the way of the PC due to smart phones and tablets).

I mean if people could play Dom3 in MP mode while they are at work then just think of all the mass firings.
I feel guilty enough just offering SMS (text messaging) of turn notices with email attachments of turns. That causes enough trouble with people who have computer access on the job.

Most of my gaming these days is Euro style boardgaming on the iPhone on the way to/from work! I'll probably go prematurely blind from always reading 2 point font, but don't have much time otherwise. Oh to be a student again....

Actually I want to play Dom3 on one of those new Microsoft tabletops. The whole top of the table is a big touch screen that lets you easily zoom in, or rotate, or move things around. I think it would be cool
