1. Berserk. I thought this had some kind of "negative" fatigue effect, but it doesn't seem so? So (other that your guy is going to win or die, not retreat) is "berserk" a fully good thing?
2. Two-handed weapons. When are these advantageous over a one-handed + shield? I never use them because I lose the second slot.
3. Hooves. Why can't you put booties on them, if that's what you want to do? ;)

1 berzerk lowers defense and increased encumberance
2 not that many of them are good for exactly that reason. some are niche though like flambeau, holy scourge, bows, and some staves for example

Ah, thank you. On manual p.56 it doesn't seem to mention that, maybe it does on some in-game tooltip or similar...

berserk is a nice counter when fighting fear and awe. Often not so nice on casters...

1 berzerk lowers defense and increased encumberance.
A small correction. Berzerk adds two points of negative, invisible reinvigoration. Not encumbrance.
The difference being that quickened units dont get fatigue twice and that paralyzed units continue to get fatigue even when not moving.
And also, unlike the other bonuses/mauluses that depends on the amount of berzerk(+#). Its always 2 points of negative reinvigoration.

As already stated, Berserker give you a total net of -2 fatigue per turn, which is not exactly the same as encumbrance 2.
That said, the overall effect of Berserker is positive. It lowers defense, but raises protection, which offset it (+2 protection is better than +2 defense). It gives you attack and strength, which increase overall offensive ability. Plus being unbreakable is very sexy

Sorry, gone mad thanking you all, very helpful replies!
Makes more sense to me now that it's fatigue not encumberance. But, @triqui, I presume you mean "2" fatigue, not "-2", right? Negative reinvigoration ==~ (positive) fatigue

Yep, I was trying to said -2 reinvigoration, actually.
